I've found that I am quite pleased to see an store price tag on a record bought second hand now... especially with CDs, with all the fake stuff going around, it's like provenance for the item. ... I even like to see a slight element of battle damage to some records, as it fits with the age of them. Some very old records that are in that mythical "mint" state make me uneasy. I picked up a first press mono copy of The Beatles: Help! this summer that's been scratched and banged about a bit... cover bit battered (plays great though), it feels more... genuine, if that makes any sense.

(Just checked on amazon to get the info about which label this is on, as there is literally no info on this inscrutable CD or cover at all, of any kind except tracks.) (( Saw the price of the hardcover Vinyl on amazon too... £999!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
