P.S. a couple of MCA catalogues in my possession indicate that the catalogue number for this became MOTD2-791 by July 1989; there is a version with that number at Discogs without full images, but apparently it did have the 1988 and later Motown Record Company, LP. name on it - whether that was just on the package, or on the actual discs, isn't clear, but knowing MCA I suspect it might have been a new package, with original discs still showing MCD06199MD2.
3746307912 is a catalogue number, when Motown moved from MCA to PolyGram distribution in late 1991, all the catalogue numbers were reformatted to start with 37463 instead of the previous MCD0 (1983 to 1988 style for Motown Record Corporation via MCA Distributing) or MOTD (Motown Record Company, L.P. via MCA Records Inc. or Uni Distributing Corporation); the 791 part of the new number is harking back to the original 1970's triple-LP set, which was M9-791A3, and which finished with "Trouble Man". I seem to remember that late in MCA/Uni distributing days that MCA rationalised their numbering so that all three formats of any album would have the same number, ignoring prefix (with their constant renumberings to move albums into different price points, it wasn't unusual for MCA releases to have entirely different numbers for LP, cassette and CD), part of which involved making some of Motown's 9000 CD numbers match the LP and cassette versions in the 5000 series, but I also remember the CD versions of some 60's and 70's albums like Diana Ross & The Supremes' GREATEST HITS or Stevie Wonder's SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE now having numbers matching the original LP formats (although sometimes, those new numbers were only shown on stickers stuck over the old barcodes on the back of the jewel cases). Anyway, new Polygram number 3746307912 on the package dates this one to 1991 at the earliest.
The picture shown is that of the booklet which has the number of the CD printed on it. I think this is from a CD issued by Motown for a Club as I don't recognize the number.
The first picture underneath is the proper CD Cover Picture. The Anthology Series Came In A Long Box and the Barcode was printed on the back of the box.
