As with GETTIN' READY, the transition from the MCA release to PolyGram appears to have happened in early 1992. The first LP reissue M5-159V1 (with equivalent cassette) was in June 1981, with the first CD being a 2-on-1 with PUZZLE PEOPLE in July 1986 (GCDO8016GD). The standalone CD was originally MCDO9096MD in July 1987, with the cassette and CD being renumbered by MCA to MOTC-/MOTD-5159 in early 1991 (the LP having been deleted, apparently).

It has to be said that MCA's constant renumbering of product (their own as well as Motown's) throughout the 1980's and early 1990's was absolutely chaotic; it wasn't unknown for some releases to have completely different numbers across all three formats. They did start to rationalize the numbering later in the piece, though, and in one case, the 2-on-1 CD of DIANA ROSS & THE SUPREMES GREATEST HITS VOLS. 1 & 2, even reverted to the original 1960s LP number, by way of a sticker on the back of the jewel case!

For some bizarre reason the tracklist in the insert omits Track 9 .. "I Gotta Find A Way (To Get You Back)", from the original LP the songwriters were Cornelius Grant, Eddie Kendricks, Eddie Holland and Norman Whitfield.
