 CD was previously issued via MCA distribution, catalogue number MOTD-5246, issued sometime between July 1989 and May 1990 (July 1989 MCA catalogue has only the cassette version MOTC-5246; May 1990 catalogue has CD as well). As well as the missing writer credits, they could have improved the front cover to airbrush out the saw cut that is visible at the bottom, and those wide white borders that Motown persisted in putting on their reissues made the covers look quite ugly (a holdover from the early 80's LP reissues, but there the borders didn't take up such a large proportion of the covers).

 Discogs have this as a 1992 release, which fits in with other Motown CDs already here with similar Cat #s.

You'd have thought that Motown would have put the songwriter credits somewhere in this package, their absence makes it all look a bit cheap, nasty and "unofficial" to me. For those who are interested, from the original US 1969 vinyl release, the songwriters are …
