Reissue of the 1996 double cd compilation of the same title on EMI Premier 72438381622 (838163 2 3) less the two tracks, 2-21 "It's Only The Dog" & 2-22 "Your Friend", by the Nightriders, originally released on Polydor uk single 56116 11/1966, copyrights credited on the EMI Premier compilation as being owned by Mercury records ltd (london) licenced from Polygram licensing division - concerning which ownership or control, there may've been some doubt.

ppint. 16th Jul 2017		from 1955 on, yes; though i'm a little hazy about quite what name morphs in detail it underwent - or didn't - on purchase by universal in 2012, and may have undergone thereafter... - but "emi records" wasn't a label.
Richard Vollin 12th Jul 2017		It's always been my understanding that Capitol Records was a subsidiary of EMI.
ppint. 12th Jul 2017		just noticed the last line of the rubric in the top rh corner of the rear insert: "emi records is a capitol music label" - which seems rather a peculiar statement to yr hmbl srppnt., not least because this double cd's on the zonophone "label" or imprint; but also because "emi records" isn't a label. . . :-)
