On September 18, 2001, Let's Get It On was reissued by Motown as a two-disc deluxe edition release, featuring 24-bit digital remastering of the original album's recordings, previously unissued material and a 24-page booklet which contains the original LP liner notes by Marvin Gaye, as well as essays from Gaye biographers David Ritz and Ben Edmonds

Tracks 1-01 to 1-08 : released on the Let's Get It On album (Tamla 329) August 28, 1973.
Track 1-09 : recorded at Western Recorders, Los Angeles, CA, May 21 (basics) and June 4 (strings), 1973.
Track 1-12 : overdubbed version released on the Dream Of A Lifetime album (Columbia CK-39916) May 1985.
Track 1-13 : an alternate mix released on the The Marvin Gaye Collection box set (Motown 6311) 1990.
Track 1-14 : originally released on the Renaissance album (Tamla 325L) April 1973.
Track 1-17 : unknown if demo vocal was cut in 1970 or 1972.
Track 2-09 : is the original single mix, scheduled as Soul 35079, B-side of "God Bless Whoever Sent You" (cancelled). An alternate stereo mix issued on The Very Best Of (Motown 9506), March 1998.
Track 2-11 : is an alternate mix. The original mix was first issued on The Very Best Of Marvin Gaye, (Motown 440 014 367-2), July 2001.
Track 2-12 : is the original session version, alternate mix from version that appeared on The Best Of Marvin Gaye (Motown 0529), 1995. The song first appeared with overdubbed synthesizers and additional background vocals, remixed and extended, on the album Motown Remembers Marvin Gaye (Motown 6172L), 1986.
Track 2-20 : first issued on the box set The Marvin Gaye Collection (Motown 6311) 1990.
