Magic Marmalade 4th Sep 2020		OK chaps... ...I've created the new entry, and moved all of Quad's images over to it, and I have added the secondary cat as with a "02-" prefix, and placed the fact that it is a Super Bit Mapped version in notes there. ....Here, I have amended the secondary cat number to reflect the "01-" prefix, but only added the full: "COL" version of the catalogue number as a third variant, not a primary catalogue number, as we go by labels / discs first, and that COL prefix only appears on the back cover on this issue, not on the disc... (So it's third in order of consideration after primary cat (same both discs), secondary cat (appears on both issue's discs, but as variants - the distinguishing factors), then finally, the "COL" prefix number, only on the back of this one) Also moved swbcfc's disc there, as it belongs to that issue, and have hidden it, as it replicates Quad's image. Clear? ...All square? Phew! (Don't ya just love CDs!!!! :) ((Oh... and new one linked below)



leonard 2nd Apr 2020		Imo this page is incorrect as it is . We have 1. The red barred Columbia full price issue with the 01 Haarlem prefix from the early 90's. 2. The mid-price SBM issue from the late 90's with the Haarlem prefix 02-. Also the booklet of these issues differ, as do the printed cat#. The first has a COL prefix. Better to split this up.



rocket666 1st Apr 2020		My copy as first three scans, but only 12 page booklet (mostly as shown; pages 2, 11 and 12 differ). No mention of Nice Price issues at all.

leonard 2nd Sep 2019		These numbers originate from CBS Haarlem. In this case we have a 01 prefix (full price) and a 02 prefix (midprice) for CBS / Columbia / Sony distribution. Other prefixes can help to determine country of issue as they are country / label specific. The booklets for these issues probably are also different.



Quad5point1 2nd Sep 2019		@gregs45s. Personally I think these numbers are for tying together the component parts of a particular release. You can find these numbers on the inserts, jewel case stickers and other inserts such as reply cards and adverts.



gregs45s SUBS 1st Sep 2019		@Quad5point1 Hi,i remember raising this question a fair while ago,after adding a Bruce Springsteen CD from Columbia,which,has allocated three different numbers,one for each Disc. I feel that they are a secondary Cat.No of some sorts,and not a part number as suggested at the time,as they are on many Columbia releases of the same period,and why go to the trouble of printing the numbers on both Disc and artwork (as is common) if they were not used by someone? The question,is whether they should be added as secondary Cat.No's,or,merely put in the notes.I would now favour the latter perhaps,as i think they are Cat.No's,but may have been used "in house"by Columbia,and not for commercial purposes?,only a Columbia employee could confirm or deny for sure perhaps,one day we'll find out,no doubt. The sensible thing then perhaps,is just to add them to the notes for the mo,as not to confuse matters,one for the Mod's methinks;)



Quad5point1 1st Sep 2019		Added a complete set of variant scans for this disc. The cat# for this is 462488 2 and not 462488 2 / 02-462488-10. The 02-462488-10 is actually a number on my later SBM (Super Bit Mapping) version and the one on the first disc is 01-462488-10, not that I think it's part of the cat# anyway. I think the number should be amended to 462488 2 and that will cover both versions. Other than that there is going to have to be 2 seperate entries made based on the surplus cat#. Will submit correction for a Mod to decide.
