 39 of these tracks from 1944-1952 were never released before on CD. 12 had never been released. For a major artist to have so much unreleased material is surprising.

Love (Your Spell Is Everywhere) is my favorite Peggy Lee song. For years I searched for a CD version. Finally it was released on this set, but the master has been damaged, so my original 78rpm is still to be treasured for its clean, though worn, sound.

The song is from the motion picture The Trespasser (1929). The original was sung by Gloria Swanson, the 78rpm of which is in 45worlds (I'm impressed!). The song is an exotic sounding one with subtle percussion (tambourines?) and a haunting melody. It sounds good on 78rpm.

 What happenend to the Capitol Masters to make them get lost (and presumably re-found?)

 Hi Jaime, Collectors' Choice Music is the primary label on this, and their catalogue number CCM-917 is the primary one. CCM, like Collectables, usually include the logo of the company that they license from.
