ppint. 24th Aug 2017		philmh: i'm not sure universal're even slightly bothered by the chronoclasm, nor concerned to reflect the contemporaneous labels on their output; the classic pink label with the outline label name is - they'll have thought - the one that the now middle-aged baby-boomers remember fondly, so it's the one they'll run with for all the reissues from the island family of artists of the period - even if the album wasn't on the island label - like nirvana's thrid lp, "to markos III"° - ! ° - which was a metromedia/pye international release/withdrawal, after being rejected by chris blackwell



PhilMH SUBS 23rd Aug 2017		A bit of quality control on Universal's part would have been good, too - that pink label was long gone by 1972, because the first palm tree design (a/k/a "pink rim") had been introduced in 1970, and the "big I" pink label was in use before that.
