That does make sense PhilMH, and the spine does have the "Spectrum Music" logo on it with no mention of "A&M" so it looks like it is most correct to have Spectrum/A&M, which I see the Mods have already done.
Hi Roger, I would make the primary label Spectrum Music, as the catalogue number fits that label's numbering system, and have A & M as the second label. I tend towards the late 90's for this, no later than 1998 as this is distributed by PolyGram (which was taken over by Universal in late 1998), and that UK issue at Discogs has a 1999 date on the label, as well as Universal distribution details, so it shouldn't be 1996, which could well be the date of this PolyGram issue, which is also in Discogs as a 1986 UK/Europe release! I think this is most likely Europe because there are different distribution codes in the barcode block as well as UK details at the side of the back cover.
Another one for the detectives here .. is this a "UK" or "European" release? .. is the label "A&M" or "Spectrum Music"? ... and what year did it come out ... the blurb mentions 1986, but that can't be correct as the notes in the insert mention their hits at Warner Brothers in 1987 and their move to Reprise (which didn't occur until 1991) and seem to suggest a release date in the late 1990s, so it looks to me that 1986 was when the original LP was released.
Anyway, for the moment I've slavishly gone along with what Discogs have for this particular Cat # and Barcode, i.e. label = A&M, Country = UK, year = 1996 ... even though the release illustrated at Discogs has totally different artwork!!
Scotland Yard and Interpol ... it's over to you ....
