Hi camshaft my comments were tongue in cheek it bugs me when they put out albums like this in my opinion these artists have nothing to do with rock 'n' roll.
Cheers Ready Teddy, I can't think where I got this CD from, I wouldn't mind Vol 2 of this, even vol 3 if there is one! Can't see Vera Lynn Rockin' 'n' Rollin' away! Did Craig Douglas rocked too? I wonder if I got this at the Grainger CD's at the Grainger Market, Newcastle, They always have a good choice of budget cd's in stock - I'll have a look!!!!! 'n' see.
WOW a Rock n Roll dance party with Heinz Mike Sarne Jess Conrad Terry Dene ect cant wait for vol 2 perhaps it will have Jim Dale Craig Douglas Kenny Lynch and Vera Lynn on it.
okun69, I stand corrected, indeed it is a Sedaka/Greenfield song 'Oh, Carol', I looked at the list above which states 'Carol' and that is a Chuck Berry song. I have not listened to my CD for yonks, and never thought of that medley. So the person who entered this will have to change track 15!!!!
The medley on track 15, lists Johnny B. Goode / Oh Carol! / Little Queenie.
Johnny, B. Goode and Little Queenie are the Berry penned titles and Oh Carol! is the Sedaka / Greenfield track. Is Oh Carol actually sung in the medley or is it chuck's Carol?
I also thought track 15 were all Chuck Berry's compositions! Where does Sedaka / Greenfield come in on this track???
Noticed the Cat No entered is incorrect, should be 704942. (let the moderator know and change!)
Scan in the images I've got onto this. [Added 09-11-14].
