| | I see you haven't been with us too long Darbs2. This site endeavours to correctly catalogue CD's and slot them into the correct pigeon hole. The artist and track listing is about the last thing to consider (but not exclusively) how a disc should be defined and a space here or a full stop or coma there can make the world of difference as to how the disc should be entered and the main point behind all the dialogue is to ascertain the origins and bona-fides of a particular release. Maybe not of any interest to you in particular but when you come to making entries yourself you really need to try and make sure that you (to the best of you knowledge) try and get the entry right. In CD World that's a big ask, but there are people out there who are trying their hardest to do just that. Even if you get it nearly right there are always moderators and probably Magic Marmalade in particular who will correct any mistakes made while also informing the contributor how it should be. |

| | Alrighty, let's have a crack at this one! My Australian version is "identical" in every way except that the secondary cat# is 5218980 and not 521 8980 so it doesn't have a space between the 1 and the 8. I know gregs78s thinks this enough to warrant a separate entry as he put this case on "Low" another CD from this series I added late last year. This one was changed to international, I'm presuming the same would apply here but I'm asking first in case that may be wrong because like many others on the site CDWorld just completely bamboozles me.
So the question is does a missing space in the secondary cat# warrant a new Australian entry. Or is the previous Australian copy (linked above) the correct way to go on this series. I am asking now because I have five others in this series and don't want to go through the same palaver for each entry.
I am also concerned that despite having entered close to 660 CDs on this site I still have no confidence in what I should do with a large number of entries or how to best go about it in many instances. To me this certainly seems to be an international release but some of us interpret "identical" in greater detail than others. Any advice welcome. |
