Thanks Lee Wrecker, It was pretty much how I felt as well, but you have to be diplomatic about these things. The disc here is plainly Europe with the price codes above the barcode, disc says Made In EU but recorded in the US and the CD Tray Insert also says Made In The EU. My copy has Made In The US all over it. I will go ahead and put up the USA disc, in the meantime though I think this entry should be changed to Europe. I'll submit a correction and see what happens.
Quad5point1 the link you provided only lists two versions of this label, cat# and barcode combination. My feeling is that separate EU and USA entries would be a better fit than one international listing. The reason I think that's a better option is that there are only two releases and if we construct an imaginary international entry duplicate entries will surface endlessly as either EU or USA releases are entered after we create an international page.
Feelings on the site about what's best to do here are divided so no-one really knows and most people just do what they like. My feeling is that these two CDs were made for two distinct markets the USA and the EU so neither was intended to be an international release per se. One of them would have turned up in Australia (almost certainly) but I'll pretend I didn't say that. Overall, though some "intended market" thinking needs to be incorporated into CD albums world because matching cat#s, labels and barcodes pop up in the strangest places. Mexico and Australia for instance have many matches but I have never bought a Mexican made CD in Australia. Here is an example from my collection where I'm weighing up the same question you are here Quad5point1. The only thing you can be certain of is that you'll simultaneously be right and wrong. It's not ideal so good luck and remember whatever you do you'll at least be half right.
Should this disc be International or Europe as on Discogs. I have the same disc which is a USA disc but has the same Cat# and barcode and is listed on Discogs as USA. My disc is different and parts of the inserts are different as well and I just don't know if I should add them as variants or not. Any suggestions folks ??
