i've today incidentally° bought another copy of this apparently identical°° edition in keswick, cumbria, uk.
in addition to the white on darkish red (i.e. reversed-out) peelable label declaring its "special edition" nature, the bonus cd, etc, it also bears 7567 92994-2 EW 851 above the barcode, above bar-code number
0 75679 29942 0 on the rear (tray inlay) and also states, on the bottom line, "made in Germany by "w" WARNER MUSIC MANUFACTURING EUROPE" (where "w" = the warner stylised w logo) immediately above three label logos for 143 records, lava and atlantic.
on the red disc is also stated "Made in Germany 7567-83352-2 GEMA/BIEM LC 00121
on the blue bonus disc "Made in Germany by "w" WARNER MUSIC MANUFACTURING EUROPE LCO121 GEMA/BIEM 7567 92994-2" immediately above the three label logos.
hoping someone as knows more about "cdworld" can say whether this means i should enter this as a eurppean cd album...
° - buying it meant i paid £2 less for the cds i wanted altogether, with as many more i didn't want, as those i wanted've been priced per cd and cost more in all if bought separately
°° - by bar-code number etc: not yet played; booklet, rear inlay, red label do not mention a track 1.16
I don't even know what "warehouse" is but this is a NZ made CD for the NZ market. Why it turned up near you is a mystery to me, bro (that's kiwi talk). Still think it is an NZ specific release you can look here if you want to try and prove otherwise but as you'll see there are more differences than similarities when you get down to tin tacks.
lee: i don't seriously doubt you - but would "warehouse" be a known nz retailer of new cds at (prob'ly) full list retail price of $29.99 ? (asked, cos this ppint. definitely does not know - and i bought it/them/this, in vg+ condition, s/h here in the english north-wet. at least partly hence, my comment...°)
(° - who'd buy it in kiwiiiia, carry it to the north lancashire seaside in yukia, and give it away to a charity shop in morecambe, "the last resort"?°°)
(°° - it must be "international" !!!)
ppint this is a specific NZ release containing an extra song 1-16 "Judy" that only appears on this issue. The Australian version (15 not 16 tracks) also has a different barcode but does have the second disc as presented here. So as usual, differences outweigh similarities. This is definitely a NZ only release as far as I can see.
