Also worth noting is the unlikely subject matter one song here, particularly for a band like this:
I've Been Losing You
...Very dark topic, and storytelling in what is, essentially, a murder song.
In fact, I don't think any have done it darker, all the more so for being wrapped in A-ha's usual melodic, pop brilliance. But I'd suggest searching out the lyrics for it to see exactly what I mean.
On a bit of an A-ha / eighties kick at the moment...
...Just occurs to me that an expanded edition of this would be a welcome release for RSD perhaps?
Maybe a second disc including the highlights of their career since this release too, as there's some stonkers in their discography in the years since this hey-day of theirs.
(Possibly include the earlier versions of Take On Me?)
But as it is, this comp is still well worth the money :)
