Yes, I agree, it's an odd selection and jazz oriented. Maybe because the better known albums (those mentioned by you) were/are already widely available on CD.
A slightly odd choice of albums for Brother Ray's first (and so far, only) collection in this series, as none of these albums contain his biggest Atlantic hit, "What'd I Say". This lot is a bit more oriented to jazz and blues. It would be good if they followed up with "Ray Charles, a/k/a Hallelujah I Love Her So", "Yes Indeed", "What'd I Say", "In Person" and "Do The Twist, a/k/a The Greatest Ray Charles". (Though I won't be buying them - I managed to get Rhino's box of his complete Atlantic recordings after it went out of print). Anyway, this set was released in Australia on 12th November 2010.
