to vidman45: The submission is a U.S. release... the disc was pressed in West Germany, but look at your jewel case most notably the back inlay (back of case)... if that has a U.S. address or anything printed as U.S... this is U.S., regardless of the disc info.. early discs were VERY often pressed in Germany or Japan. In 1984 U.S. pressed CD's were rare, especially for PolyGram Group labels.
The CD pictured here may be a US release. But I have the German release with the cat. # and barcode as entered. On the CD, under the cat.#., you can see the "GEMA" logo plus a"Copyright Control" logo.
That version on Discogs was released in Australia too - no Australian CD factories then - so I think there need to be separate entries, this one with the title of EB 84 for US, and another with the title as THE EVERLY BROTHERS entered as "International". Mods, do you agree?
When "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" became their first chart single in 17 years, I liked it, and wanted to support them, so I bought the US 45, and then the LP. I must not have had a CD player in 1984, but when I later found this CD, I bought It too. I did not notice at the time that it was a German issue.
