Quad5point1 SUBS 19th Feb 2019
| | Nod to all previous posters. I've added all of the remaining Cover Inlay scans + both sides of the CD Tray Insert. Inner part of the insert showing the Cat# and the rear with printing differences. The bottom showing AAD instead of ADD and below the barcode is missing the code POL 900 |

Quad5point1 SUBS 25th Sep 2018
| | Added 2 scans from the Music Master Heavy Metal Catalogue which shows the Cassette and Vinyl Album were released in November 1984 and the CD was deleted in January 1989. The singles from the album were released in January 1985. This disc couldn't possibly have a release date of March 1991as it was deleted from the catalogue 2 years earlier. Although the catalogue doesn't give a release date I think it would be safe to assume that it was released at the same time as the vinyl album and cassette in November 1984. Both CD Tray inserts have the date 1984 on them as well. |

| | This title was also released in Australia with this catalogue number, and back in 1984 it would almost certainly have been the West German pressing. Later PolyGram (and other companies pressings) came from South Korea until Aussie factories came on stream. |

| | You need to take every case on its own merits, and there are no hard and fast rules, but - in the the case of major labels, more often than not they will be multi-country releases.
Note though that for smaller independent labels we do sometimes group them by the country they are based in, just to keep them all neat and together - for example Disky is Netherlands (even though you can/could buy them elsewhere as well), Glitterhouse is Germany, Bear Family is Germany, Wildflower is US, and so on.
There are often clues - look out for multiple catalogue numbers or price codes, or multiple languages in the small print for example.
If unsure, go with what you think best and you can always flag it up for discussion either by a comment or a forum post.

| | Many thanks. So in future if I purchase a CD in this country that is made elsewhere do I enter it as a UK entry or "Europe" ? |

| | We don't list where cd's were made. This particular cd was released all over Europe: Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and more. It was even released in the UK which is also a part of Europe |

| | The country of manufacture doesn't matter, at least for major label releases (such as this) - it's the country or region (in the case of "Europe") of release that we are interested in.
I think the point is YES you have a UK purchase but the same CD with the same barcode and catalogue number etc was also released in other European countries, so this is a European release, not specifically a UK one.
Hope this clarifies? |

| | Deltics. I know the CD was made in France, hence the added image. If it can't count as a UK entry because that is where it was purchased, it is going to get really confusing to list the country by where it was made as opposed to where the disc was released. |

|
|
guineapig 11th Aug 2014
| | My point is that the original entry should not state Europe as the country. |

| | You better don't, because it will be deleted. It's all about catalog numbers and barcodes. If they are the same it's one entry. |

| | Added a scan of my label. This is from the UK version. Europe is not a country so shouldn't be a category. When I have time I will do one for the UK. |
