 Their last album with Shane MacGowan, recorded when the singer was - how to put this - "not at his peak".

That said, it does have some moments of brilliance and there's a telling lyric in "Sunnyside Of The Street" where MacGowan sings, "I will not be reconstructed" - possibly a less-than-subliminal message to his exasperated bandmates?

He was of course fired from the band the following year (eventually returning as frontman in 2001), an occurrence which led to Shane's now famous response to his sacking - "What took you so long?".
