tracks 1-12 = the original (mono) album, john mayall plays john mayall decca lk4680 3/65; the recordings were made 7/12/64 & 26/2/65 at the railway hotel, west hampstead, london, next door to decca's west hampstead studios. tracks 13-17 are studio recordings also recorded there about the same time. track 17 was first released on the compilation, "thru the years" decca skl5086 10/71; one track recorded then has been lost: "another man done gone".
john mayall, vocals, harmonica, cembalett, organ, 9-string guitar on track 3; roger dean, guitar; john mcvie, bass guitar; hughie flint,drums; nigel stanger, tenor & slide saxophones.
record supervision, tony clarke; recording engineers, gus dudgeon, terry johnson & derek yarnals.
digitally remastered in stereo from the original master tapes by paschal byrne at the audio archiving company, london.

 it (the original album) was never officially entitled "live at klooks kleek" (with or without apostrophes"), but a lot of people call(ed) it that.
