 The Stampeders picked up five new members in 1977, and lost one when founding member Rich Dodson left the group. For his contribution to two tracks on this LP, he is listed as a guest musician. While remnants of their old sound remained, under the direction of Ronnie King they became a discofied rock outfit with a horn section and two drummers (Kim Berly and Gibby Lacasse) on this album. "Platinum" was their last release on MWC. After one further album on Apex in 1979, The Stampeders disbanded.
