 Hi Tailspin,
I am a little bit surprised by your statement that you "added ... most of the set". Fact is that I entered 16 of the 20 CDs.

As to the composer credits: I took my information as presented in the song listings preceding the more detailed description of each show. I do think that is the way to do it. Of course, I know that in the context of this box set, "M. Tillis" stands for "Mel Tillis", and A. Delmore most certainly is Alton Delmore. Well, everybody interested in this set knows that. But you also included information not found anywhere in the book. So you list Otis Blackwell as co-composer of "Long Tall Sally" instead of "Blackwell". In fact, the co-writer is "Bumps" Blackwell, then Little Richard's manager. So I feel justified to have listed what is in the book, namely "Johnson, Penniman, Blackwell" (CD 7- 3).

Werly Fairburn (CD 6-9 and 6-10) has two songs included, written by one E. Myers. The first name is not included in the accompanying text (page 100). My point is: the first name you suggest may be correct, but this information does not come from the book, as you claim.
You do not give your reasons why you deleted "CD 1", "CD 2", etc. which I highlighted with the SECTIONBREAK command to give some clear visual order to such a massive listing. Of course, I realise that "7-02" refers to the second track on CD 7. I have just followed the procedure of other contributors adding box sets.

As to the square brackets, I agree with your choice, and have just learned from my daughter how to use these brackets in the future.

Basically, I think the whole argument could have been avoided if you had sent an explanatory, short note right after making your changes and after adding the final 4 CDs.

And perhaps someone in the know might let me know whether 16 CDs are worth more than just one point. (I am definitely not collecting points to get a new washing machine.) The people who created this website also introduced the point system for some reason not to be discussed here, and I am just interested in a little bit more transparency or openess.

 I corrected most of set. Much of the composer credits are in text in the included book, which reveal more than the name then in lists. Same can be said for artist, which I have not corrected. (i.e. Flat & Scruggs & the Clinch Mountain Boys). Song titles often have parenthesis (round brackets) as part of title. i.e. 15-23 “Free Me (From The Blues)” So I think the use of (square) brackets for non title info. makes them separate from titles. i.e. [take 1], [live version], etc.

 Thank Yous are due to the moderator who corrected the mess I had created with CD 17 (all info was displayed 2 or even 3 times when I checked my entry), and also to tailspin for adding the cover image. Some uncredited member added the last four CDs before I could do that, and thus saved me a lot of time, to whom I am grateful, too.
But I do not quite understand why my entry was partly changed. I had used the SECTIONBREAK command to highlight the individual CDs, e.g. CD 1, CD 2, etc.. This info was deleted. The (round) brackets I used were replaced by "square" brackets. It would have been nice to get some feedback on this, if only for improving future entries.

Apart from that, I wonder how such a massive box set fares in the point system.
