Many thanks MM.
Watch out for more early Elton cds from me soon; delayed for numerous months for lack of scanner. However now they will fill gaps and hopefully I can get scanning soon after.
A couple of useful tips on dating CDs (At least, getting it in the ballpark), other than the presence or absence of a barcode is the little square boxes around the track numbers were an early feature - gone by the nineties - these replicated the display of CD players.
...Also, if it has the spiel about the wonders of Compact disc technology in various languages in the back couple of pages of the booklet.
Haven't gotten into Elton John Discography to properly tie it up yet (It's a big discography!), but will prioritise it.
Really struggling to believe non-barcode cd as late as 1998; More like 1984; I have it listed for sale in a privately supplied sale list dated March 1990.
