Magic Marmalade 1st Sep 2017
| | You question about the "bootleg" issue has been put in a canister, and shoved in the tube system to go whizzing around to arrive in the basement where admin and mods live.
After some hurrumphing, and several pints of Ye Olde Wette Dog, a little bell may ring to inform me that a judgement has been rendered.
But, for now it's probably best to say that it's been noted, and look to other things. |

| | I'm not convinced that "Bootleg" is a format. It is (to me) a CD album or in some that I have a Long Playing Record. At least from the options available we can immediately spot that it's a bootleg. These are generally made available worldwide and not confined to one country.. |

| | Why would Bootleg exist as a 'country', but not as a format choice? |

| | @Magic Marmalade: I asked about that as well & that's the way the program/system is designed.
Basically, another OC call. |

| | It seems to be the same arrangement for vinyl lps as CDs of both album and single variety: Add item: Choose country. |

| | @RD: I asked a Mod about the 'Bootleg' format not being an option for CD's and basically, it's all up to OC. |

| | That choice exists for other formats, but not for CD's. Go to this page, click on CD Type and Bootleg does not exist in the drop-down menu. Fourteen choices are offered and not one of them is Bootleg. Is there a reason Bootleg doesn't exist as a format choice for CD's? Bootleg exists as a format choice for CD singles, but not for CD's.
Can mods add such format? If Bootleg exists as a CD format choice, then this entry should be changed to it.
kab2112: if you can show me where the Bootleg choice is when adding a new CD, I'll gladly use it.
Format choices shown in the CD Type drop down menu are
