This is one of the best-ever McCartney bootlegs. The only problem with it is that the tape playbacks into the computer were massively out of phase, and running at the wrong speed. There is a version out there that corrects these anomalies. Fixed, they sound better than when some of these tracks were used as bonus material on the "Tug Of War" and "Pipes Of Peace" Archive Collection CDs. On those discs, the top end has been chopped off and the rest is noise-reduced to death. "Hear Me Lover" has always been identified by its first three words, as it wasn't obvious what the title was. When finally released, it was called "Something That Never Happened." It might have done well as a single.

George Martin told Paul to scrap some of these songs. "Seems Like Old Times" could have been a single, too, and I give Paul top marks for remembering where all the chord changes are in "Give Us A Chord, Roy."
