| | Note that 'Ten Little Indians' appears in 'true stereo', which is very interesting, because it was recorded in the same German session as 'Du, Du Liegst Mir Im Herzen' and 'Oh Du Lieber Augustin' in 1961 by Deutsche Grammofon Geschellschaft in Hamburg (according to comments between 'Terence Archer' and 'Harald' regarding 'Oh Du Lieber Augustin' - Heliodor 453108. The 45 Single Labels say 'Recorded by Big Top New York).
However, it leaves the question: Does a master tape with 'true stereo' versions of 'Oh Du Lieber Augustin' and 'Du, Du Liegst Mir Im Herzen' exist??? |

Tracks 1-12 are from the 3.rd US-album 'The Big Sound Of Johnny And The Hurricanes' from 1960 and all in Stereo.
Tracks 13 - 30 are Bonus tracks in Mono except track 16 (= Stereo).
Tracks 21+22 published April 1962 as The FASCINATORS = The Hurricanes without Johnny Paris, who was replaced by Mike Murdza on saxophone after the split in late 1961. The other members from The Hurricanes were: Paul Tesluk (organ), Dave Yorko (lead gt.), Butch Mattice (bass) and Lynn Bruce (drums)
The correct Title of Track 21 is: "You're To Blame" according to the Label on the 45 Single Trans Atlas M688 - perhaps Morty Craft was thinking of Johnny Paris when he chose the Title for this tune based on 'You're so fine' by the Falcons?
The correct composers to Track 22 'Revived' are the members of The Fascinators according to the Label on the 45 Single.
Tracks 23+24 are performed by THE CRAFTSMEN (Warwick M-586 & Warwick M-538), who were: Richard Malfitano (sax), Joe Avento (guitar), Ronnie Becker (piano), Al Santora (bass) and Tom Scorcione (drums). |
