Hi Phil, I would have bought this at the first available opportunity and had it in my collection before 1992 as it was with me when I moved house at around that time. In spite of the bronzing this one still plays fine and is as you'll know is a great CD. You're right about the disk scan being not quite right as in real life the disk is more of matt grey colour but here it seems to be a pinkish. I never knew about the replacement program but even if I did, like you, I think from our end of the planet it's all a bit too much effort. Thanks for the information on this CD, Phil.
Hi Lee, yours would be the earlier of the two discs here, as it was manufactured by PDO, which operated under that name from 1986-1996. The factory went through a few more name changes - PMDC, Deluxe, and finally EDC (the other disc here, made between 2006 and 2009) before closing. My copy is also a PDO one, and looks similar to yours, just darker - maybe it's just your scan? Thankfully, mine doesn't show any bronzing on the disc, which was a problem with the earliest PDO UK pressings, and I recall that Ace had a replacement program for any discs that were affected (which I never got around to availing myself of, and I still have two or three of the things).
With respect to cussincarryinon02 I've added a clearer cover shot for moderation. In addition I've added a full set of booklet scans and a scan of my CD which I believe is a pressing variant (different colour and different inner ring info layout). I'm not sure if one is a first pressing and the other is a repress or if they just came out of different plants at the same time. Correction sent in regard to shuffling things about here.
