PhilMH 11th Apr 2014		Well...I had hoped to like this CD more, but I'm afraid that in the Chess Divas league, Jackie came seventh after Etta James, Mitty Collier, Laura Lee, Irma Thomas, Sugar Pie DeSanto and Fontella Bass. Most of these are pleasant enough, but her voice isn't big or distinctive enough to lift them above the ordinary (and some of the songs are pretty ordinary). If you already have the hits "Selfish One" and "Take Me For A Little While", this is really only worth getting for the booklet, which is to the usual Ace/Kent high standard (and I'll try to get some more images up over the next few days).
