Group billed themselves as The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band from 1967 to 1975, then shortened their name to "The Dirt Band" from about 1976 to 1981 before reverting to their original name. 45Cat correctly has the main database as "The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They never had a Legends of Rock 'n Roll CD, and this early EMI America CD is the only hits comp. that I have ever found. Composers not credited.
