 @Greg and Leonard - I did double check. Not only does the CD say "Made In W.Germany" it also states it on both the booklet, and the tray insert.

 @Lee Wrecker
Slight misunderstanding Lee,my fault no doubt,but this is certainly not the first time i have come across an occasion where you have to try to work out which is the primary release,and/or had other problems which i had to send corrections for,i've had loads,but it was the first time i'd come across one that when you added links to one of the entry's,it limited you to 4 links,i.e,taking one off if you added 5,weird;).(but OK now)
(It is not only my collection i am linking by the way,but all CD albums,checking any artist that has two or more entries,(currently on "R" page 9)

 When you search for an album Greg, the primary release usually comes up first but not always. So generally you will link to the primary release and everything will be fine. However, sometimes it doesn't and this is when partial links and drop-outs seem to appear in my experience. Then you need to find the primary release (can be difficult if not a MOD) which is generally the first version of that album loaded on the site. MODS can change the primary release if for instance the original release from the original country of release appears they may make that the primary release. Easier with LPs than CDs though as that knowledge is better known. This site also has a predilection to list either USA or EU items before other countries so if the primary release is for instance my Australian version of the same album it may not appear at the top of the list. I have experienced this myself and have sent corrections to change the primary release from my own entry to others from the EU or USA for the sake of convenience in the past. So in short, you're very lucky you've only come across this once linking from "Z to S" in your collection. It has happened to me many times but searching by the name of the actual album usually throws up the primary release first in my experience.

 @leonard
I understand what you are saying leonard,but,and with due respect,that is not the usual case when linking,you should,and can,be able to cross-link any albums.It may be the case on this particular album,for some reason,but,how are we to know which is a primary release within say 15 albums otherwise?.
I have been linking albums on CD world for a while now,working my way back from "Z" to "A",and am currently on "S".It has highlighted a few potential problems,which,would be better discussed later in the forum...,but,as a rule,i have had no problems cross-linking any other albums,and so i think it's a glitch on this particular one,but,have now linked other releases to the European entry as you suggested.
Of the "Blackout" entry's that have recently been added,i have not yet linked the three CDP 7 46732 2 (1997) releases from the Netherlands/UK/Germany as i believe the three share exactly the same label/Cat.No./barcode combination,and so could be merged under one European entry,although,there is a case for separating the UK entry as it uses the secondary Cat.No."CD-FA 3126" (Fame).Also,i did not link the 1992 "German" 818 885-2 entry,as i believe the 818 885-2 Cat.No's were only issued in the Americas?,and not Europe?.It's possibly a case of a German Disc with USA artwork?,perhaps the submitter could check?
cheers

 You have to link to the edition that's made primary. In this case the European Harvest edition of 1988. Otherwise all kinds of crosslinks are being made which can't be handled. In other words if the primary is A link all B, C, D etc to A, and not B to C and then C to A or whatever combination. You will find the system works perfect.

 what's going on with the links on this one?each time i add one,it takes an older one off?,apparently only allowing 4 links?,is it perhaps because i've submitted corrections on some of them?
