Just look for all parts made Italy to be Italian (Although all parts made in any other country in Europe is still Europe) ((Confused yet?.. Good, that means you are still perfectly sane :))
Magic Marmalade 12th Mar 2021		You can't... Put simply. This is why I would be careful of believing anyone's "expertise" when it comes to CDs or any format of the recent era. All you can do, and all we ask on site, is to put your items up as best you can, according to the best of your judgement, and according to what you know, and can tell from what's in hand... ... Then, the magic of the crowd comes to bear, as someone else will offer a suggestion, discussion, and debate will gradually move the items into shape, and this will eventually form the knowledge base that older formats, in simpler, more readily understood times, have had established already. Just remember, is not this site that's wrong when things appear so, neither is it you who's entering them... The reality of the situation really was that messed up by them that released them, according to prevailing economic and political arrangements. But a good rule of thumb, is to check Italian and Australian releases twice, enter them separately from European releases, then we can bang em about after :) Don't be afraid of making mistakes with CDs! (We can fix them... We have the technology :)
robozuc ● 12th Mar 2021		Unfortunately this creates a lot of confusion, for example this CD has disc made in Italy (BIEM / SIAE) and inner sheets and booklet made in UK. How does a person unaware of all these peculiarities to regulate himself?
Magic Marmalade 12th Mar 2021		In a nutshell, for a time, while the rest of the European nations were being chums in the world of commercial activity, with CDs being made from various parts all over Europe and the fruits of this collective activity being for intended sale all over Europe, Italy did not take part in this love- in having all parts of CDs (and other formats) intended for sale in Italy, made in Italy, and nowhere else (barring export arrangements). (I can't quite recall the full story, but it's along the lines of a union issue...investigate SIAE rights society history for a fuller picture, and it's relationship to the EU.)
