Ahh... I see it now. Looks like a middle management decision to me... "er listen up everyone, from now on all CDs will have the barcode in a single string of numbers as a secondary cat#. Reprint everything and look lively about it." Unless there was a legal reason it really seems to be a pointless addition to manufacturing process. Anyway thanks for pointing the difference and yes, CD's are tricky little buggers.
p.s. Sent correction for track 02 "I Had A Dream, Joe".
Hi Lee
There were two types of UK release, the first one (1992) using only one Cat No, (CDSTUMM92), and the reissue (date unknown) using the two Cat. No's (CDSTUMM92 and 5016025610921)(the second number is on the back of the booklet and the CD, whereas the first release doesn't use the second Cat on Disc or booklet).
So, it warrants another entry as it differs.
As we both know, CD's are tricky buggers;)
cheers
Hey gregs45s how is this different to the linked 1992 UK Mute label issue below. All the details are the same as far as I can see. Should the entries be merged or is there something that differentiates them that I can't see? What do you think?
