RogerFoster 4th Feb 2016		Review This nifty collection combines fifteen original 1960s Jamaican recordings with four "live" recordings from bands who made it big in the British Two-Tone/Ska-Revival boom of the early 1980s (these are the tracks by The Specials and The Selecter) plus Desmond Dekker's 1990s re-recording of his "King of Ska". The fifteen tracks from the 1960s cover a reasonable cross section of Jamaican music from that period and there are plenty of goodies to be found (my favourites are "Dance Crasher" and "The Whip"), the "Live" "Two-Tone" tracks were no doubt included to give this collection appeal to those whose knowledge of Ska was only minimal, and the inclusion of The Paragons original version of Blondie's multi-million selling International Hit should make this CD of interest to virtually everyone. 3 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
