ReviewThis is very much a Soundtrack of two halves ... most of the first 9 tracks are typical of the Smooth R&B/Soul sound that was so popular in the 1990s,the last 9 tracks are mostly hard-core Rap/Hip-Hop. Having never seen the movie I don't know if this reflects the order that the songs appeared on the soundtrack but I doubt it.
The result for me was that whenever I played this CD I usually thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the tracks but seldom made it right to the end.
Somewhere between these two extremes lie the two tracks that I must have played the most throughout the years .. Raja-Nee's rather risqué "Turn It Up", and Nuttin' Nyce's catchy "Down 4 Whatever" a song that could only have been recorded in 1994!!
