nboldock 1st Sep 2014		Valid points, though I don't think the guidelines need to be any different for an album sampler. At four tracks and 18 mins I would put this in Singles and that's also where I'd look for it. I just think it would look a little odd under Albums (and does) - you are quite right that it's not really a "single" as such, but I would say it's closer to that than to being an album. So not perfect perhaps, but sometimes "best fit" is perhaps the answer. Any more thoughts, anyone?



gregs45s SUBS 1st Sep 2014		Sorry for delay,total duration is 17m.55s.I know what you're going to say,"too short".I highlighted this potential problem a while back,whilst adding my CD singles (amongst which were a few album sampler's as i recall).Surely duration alone cannot determine "what it actually is",these album samplers had nothing to do with promoting singles,they were given to (mainly) radio stations to promote a forthcoming album.Could the CD singles be left as they are,but add a drop down option on CD albums,something along the lines of : PROMO (full album) SAMPLER (up to,and including one track short of the full album). I know there are thousands of samplers out there,and feel this could become problematic later on,after all, someone new to the site would go straight to CD album world if searching for an album sampler,and not to CD single world.Thoughts...
