In fact, I've just played the youtube vid and compared it to my mp3 rip from this CD, and while the tempo seems the same, they seem to be mixed differently to my ears, with the CD version having more "Poke", and "thump", and a couple of the instruments brought forward in the mix... it sounds like they've shaved it down in the more prominent areas a bit for the single release.
This is one of those where I am sure they started playing a different version on the radio of one of these songs shortly after the initial release.
The song in question is: Everybody's Changing (Here needing a correction of punctuation in this listing :). The version on this CD, and the release of it as a single in the first month or so, was a more propulsive, more uptempo, disco-ish one, but then after the first few weeks, it caught my ear when they played it on the radio because it sounded more sedated, and a little slower in some respect.
was this my imagination, or did this really happen?
(I've since sold this CD at a boot-er sadly, but the vinyl is recognised as a modern rarity with associated eye bulging values attached)
