PhilMH 1st Nov 2016		Interesting sidebar: this might fall into the category of "we-all-knew-this-fifty-years-ago-Phil" but "Frank Glenn" (liner notes writer) is an alias for producer Teo Macero; I picked this up when searching the Library Of Congress registrations in the (vain) hope that there might have been a record for any new liner notes to this release, and while there is nothing for this, there are a few things registered to "Frank Glenn a/k/a Teo Macero".



PhilMH 1st Nov 2016		Schwann catalogues give the issue date as March 1987; that could be the correct date, or the first issue of Schwann where it was listed, so the proper date could be a month or two earlier. In any case, 1987 would be the correct year that this catalogue number and barcode combination was first used, regardless of the date of this particular pressing.



GEMSMFAN 1st Nov 2016		this doesn't look like a 1987 release.. the case has an original bar code before the Sony takeover, but the disc label is very plain looking and has the revised "Columbia" logo (introduced in 1991)... note no "walking eye in the box" and the double thin line outerborder, which also was printed on discs, back then. A new Epic logo was introduced in 1991, also.
