I got to see these guys when they did a show for BBC Northern Ireland. My Uncle was a foreman rigger for the BBC and got tickets for me and 2 cousins. They did the show primarily because the BBC in NI were setting up for colour transmissions and if nothing else Fruupp were indeed a colourful act. At the height of Glam Rock and Prog Rock they filled the niche perfectly. I often wondered if the BBC wiped this after transmission. It was hard to get acts to come to Belfast because of the "Troubles", so for these guys who hailed from the city it wasn't a problem. That was around Christmas 1973 and prior to that I think the only band still coming to the city was Rory Gallagher and I did see the famous Led Zeppelin Gig in March 1971 where they debuted Stairway To Heaven.
