CD Album
Notes Vee-Jay recordings from 1964/1965. Two jewel cases in a cardboard slip-case, The song listing on the reverse of the cardboard case is not quite correct: CD 1 track 23 has been omitted from the CD as it is not an alternate version; CD 2: tracks 8/9 and 14/15 are not presented as separate parts 1 and 2, but as long versions like they were recorded. The listing I entered is as on the CDs. Cover and CDs state explicitly that Germany is the country of origin, and the release was compiled by Charly's German wing "Charly Schallplatten GmbH". As to song writing credits, "O. Blackwell" is mentioned twice (CD 1: 10, 13). I think this should be a reference to Bumps Blackwell, Richard's old manager, not Otis Blackwell. CD 2, tracks 16 - 20 are instrumentals with Jimi Hendrix.
