rustieneil SUBS 9th Aug 2015		Hey TopPopper, I still think linking separate entries is a better methodology but I obviously respect your opinion. A quick search around CD albums world for other examples isn't conclusive one way or the other.



TopPopper 8th Aug 2015		I would say that creating a new label here is not a problem, provided it's accurate for the release. While I might agree that they were distributed independently, that's not the major cirterion for listing them separately - the criterion, as I see it, is whether they form part of the same product/album, and in my judgement they do.

rustieneil SUBS 8th Aug 2015		As more have been added, newspaper freebies have got more and more messy. With this entry effectively a new label has been created - "Daily Express / Sunday Express" - as distinct from the existing separate "Daily Express" and "Sunday Express" labels. In my opinion, these 2 discs were distributed independently of each other by 2 separate (albeit closely related) publications/labels and should be separate entries and then linked to each other.



TopPopper 8th Aug 2015		Tricky one. The two papers are separate, but not entirely, and the two CDs were issued with the intent of making a double album set, complete with double sleeve, even if they were released on different days. I'm unsure whether they should be separated.



ppint. 8th Aug 2015		these two cds not distributed together, but separately, with separate cat#s and with issues of different newspapers, which allows for the fun fact that volume 1 is vol. 1 of (the) "daily express soul", whilst volume 2 is vol.2 of (the) "sunday express soul"... desoulcd01 is "cdcatted" separately, as sesoul01 should probably be, given they weren't a single release.
