Expanded 40th anniversary soundtrack. CD1 features the original soundtrack with additional previously unreleased orchestral and vocal performances. CD2, tracks 2-01 to 2-21 are excepts from story meetings with the creator of Mary Poppins, P. L. Travers. On the digipak they are listed collectively as The Mary Poppins Story Meetings, but are given individual track titles in the booklet. Some tracks include impromptu performances of early versions of songs like Chim Chim Cher-ee and several describe a lengthy musical sequence never used in the film. 2-22 is a radio broadcast hosted by Dick Tufeld who interviews the cast. 2-23 is a 1989 recording made by the Shermans who discuss the evolution of the score, including performances of songs planned for the movie but not used (some of which were later repurposed for the film Bedknobs and Broomsticks).
