That's my understanding of the situation. It might be best to PM leonard who is a MOD from the Netherlands for clarification. I ran in to a similar problem when I thought Disky releases that were widely available in Australia should be considered international but apparently they are not due to the "independent" or "boutique" status of the label on this site. It may well be different in this particular case but I'm not a MOD and I'm just passing on my experience with entering CDs on this label.
So it's different from other labels where it's important what market the record is aimed for? I mean, this is definitely meant for German speaking buyers, with the title (as well as the subtitle "30 Schmuse Hits für Verliebte"...) in German and seeing it has the same tracks on a disc with an English title?
Hi Jo,
The Disky label is treated as a boutique independent label on 45 Worlds. So this one should be listed as from the Netherlands as that is the home address of the label. Other independent labels such as Domino, Rough Trade and Cherry Red are treated the same way. However, I see a growing number appearing on the site being listed as from the EU and these should be changed I think. Leonard will know best on the protocols with this label.
You are right though that a lot of Disky releases were released worldwide and that makes entering them a little difficult unless you know the site views these releases independent Netherlands issues. Disky also manufactured and distributed CDs in Canada and Australia but these releases are deemed as from those countries as they are market specific. The first two Disky CDs on the EU list by T. Rex also appear to be a bit unusual in that they are made in France or Benelux and don't have the Disky logo but have opted for the old Cube label logo associated with the original T. Rex albums. I think Leonard may need to look into what's happening with listings for this label if he has time.
