The vast majority of these titles have never been reissued before even the LP era and are making their CD debut here. This then is the story of one of the unsung outlets for R&B music London Records of America.

PhilMH 31st Dec 2019		This collection was released in 2011, not 2018 - I bought my own copy in April 2012. No mention of Universal Music Group (owner of the London label) licensing these tracks, so presumably this is an out-of-copyright issue a/k/a "legal bootleg". The title track appears to have been the only one of the London 17000 R & B series to get any chart action, #2 R & B in fact, and was subsequently covered by B.B. King a couple of times.
