RogerFoster 31st Oct 2015		Review This collection puts together a selection of some of the less conventional recordings from former Motown songwriters/producers Holland-Dozier-Holland's Invictus/Hot Wax empire (labels generally associated with catchy three minute love songs). Pride of place to my ears has to include the slinky instrumental "Cheba" by 8th Day, the version of Ruth Copeland's "Silent Boatman" by Parliament (the only Soul record I know of that not only features bagpipes but would also sound good being played at a funeral!!) and the instrumental version of "Don't Leave Me" by Holland-Dozier.
