I only have two Phil but I have seen all but two of the others listed in the liner notes so I assume that was just my bad luck and they were actually available. I do also remember Shock being the distributor for Hi here so I find it strange they don't show up In Platterlog.
Hi Lee, I think you're probably right there; Shock Records seem to have been the exclusive distributors of Hi releases in Australia by the early 2000's (numerous importers were bringing them in during the 80's and 90's), but they seem to have neglected to notify this series to Platterlog, because none of them are showing up! I remember seeing them around, and I also remember seeing some Hi releases that actually said manufactured and/or distributed by Shock on them, but I'm not sure whether they were from this series, or something else. I've had a quick check of a few random pages from Shock's archived sites at the Internet Archive, and there's nary a mention of Ann Peebles or Al Green, so it seems that Shock were like most other record companies and not interested in promoting reissues on the 'net. Presumably they had a print catalogue or some other means of letting retailers know what was available - I wonder if The_Vinyl_Junkie remembers anything from his days in retail out in the wild west?
