Island remasters series - of an lp that was never an Island album.
recorded for island, produced by Chris Thomas, Chris Blackwell rejected it (hence the track, "Christopher Lucifer") - but allowed Alex Spyropoulos & Patrick Campbell-Lyons to hawk it round and sell it to any record company they could. it sold to the Merkin Metromedia - who promptly went bust just as it was released in 1969. ATV/Pye having licenced it for the UK from Metromedia and pressed copies on their Pye International label, proceeded to not release it: only a very few copies escaped into the wild... making it one of the rarest pieces of vinyl by the original Nirvana.
