The album is credited to Dusty, though no single track upon it bore her name; Disc 1 tracks 1-14 collects Fontana singles H 148 A&B, H 176 A&B, H 190 A&B, H 221 A&B, H 235 A&B, H 252 A&B, H 283 A&B: all the Lana Sisters' sides while Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien sang as "Shan Lana" in the trio. Disc 1 tracks 15-33 are Philips PB 1145 A&B, 1168 A&B, 1178 A&B, 1220 A&B, through PB 1241 A&B, 326 536 BF A&B, merkin philips 40072 A-side, Philips 326 557 BF A&B, Merkin Philips 40092 A&B, and two German language versions of hits, and Disc 2 tracks 1-11 collect further tracks released on the Springfields' Philips lp, BBL 7551, "Kinda Folksy"; tracks 12-23, BL 632, "Folk Songs From The Hills"; 24-25 are French language versions, and 26-27 two further German language versions of their singles; 28-31 were the EP, Lyntone P125E, "Christmas With The Springfields", & track 33 an outtake from this, and these tracks come from 1961-1962, the period through which she first created the stage persona, "Dusty Springfield" with brother Dion (Dionysius), Tom Springfield, and Reshad Tim Feild. Reshad Tim Feild had to leave showbusiness to care for his wife late 1962, being replaced by Mike Hurst, who appears from "Island Of Dreams" and the LP recorded in Nashville under the auspices of Shelby Singleton, "Folk Songs From The Hills"; but it wasn't long before Dusty spread her wings as a great solo artist.
