Qualcuno sa come la Koch abbia scovato questo disco e abbia pensato di ristamparlo?

 Wow!

She doesn't disappoint does she?!!!

Like the missing link between Billie Holiday and the folk and blues world.

(Seems you can forget the "unappreciated" tag too, as I looked on ebay for a vinyl copy, but had to resort to Popsike - yikes! :)

MM! this certainly must have been available in the UK. This Koch cd is the first reissue of the original Capitol album. Google, Wikipedia and Youtube can give you a pretty good idea what this lady was like...

I don't suppose you know if this was issued in the UK Leonard?

I've looked on vinyl albums at it (and the other album there), but both seem to be U.S releases on both formats.... I quite like the look of it having read you review (I get the kind of unknown / unappreciated genius vibe from it in the style of a Nick Drake or someone like that).

It's going in my little note book as one to look out for :)

 Review
This was the first record I added to this site as a vinyl album. My favorite record, together with Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, of all time. Before listening be prepared: sit down comfortably, pour yourself a little glass of wine, but keep the bottle at hand. As I used to start with the B-side of the vinyl album start at track 6. A voice, goosebumps, shivering and shaking. Oh, this is really down and out. Drowning in the music, I'll never come out of these blues alive.
Wait a minute: you say you're a music lover and don't own this album? Buy, steal or borrow, but get it.
