 Review
Before getting together with John Martyn, Beverley Kutner had recorded as just Beverley, giving us the lasting treasure of "Happy New Year", so when, almost a half-century later she records a solo album comparisons are inevitable.

The material here gets off to a good start with Reckless Jane which she had previously performed with Nick Drake. Drake is uncredited on this album but his compositional style is in evidence.

"Levee Breaks" is, to me, the strongest composition here, and represents an acknowledgement of her first, student, band The Levee Breakers. It is hard to define the genre of this, but maybe Country and Folk Blues. The guitar breaks are very powerful.
