New stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original eight-track session tapes. To produce the mix, Giles Martin, working with Sam Okell, was guided by the album’s original stereo mix supervised by his father, George Martin.
Magic, I have previously provided links to Universal's Australian website and local retailers that list all of these types of releases as available in Australia. Why is more proof needed? Why do moderators change one entry when clearly a whole series are affected (i.e. 1 CD, 2 CD, 2 CD + Blu-ray, LP Picture Disc, LP, 2 LP, 3 LP Deluxe)? I have to submit corrections to each an every one. BORING! Now you're querying the veracity of my claims which have been backed up by PhilMH and you have been supplied links to multiple sites for evidence. Follow the link in the previous sentence to see this listed at $23.99 (mid-price) at Australia's largest shop front music retailer.
Shall I go down there and take photos of all their stock? Is that the level of proof required. Not only are these products available here they are in fact released on the same day so need for adding different release dates in the notes or anything tedious like that.
Furthermore, these issues are not restricted to the Beatles catalogue they exist across the entire Universal Music Group International catalogue and that's the real problem. It's a systemic mistake we are making across the board and I can't go through the entire Universal Music Group International catalogue and put in corrections for every item. The Beatles catalogue just happens to be in the mix and these issues are not confined to that alone. So advice from another Mod that is familiar with Beatles catalogue is irrelevant in these cases as the issue spans the entire catalogue of UMG and not just one artist. It's a great disappointment to me that my research and evidence counts for naught on these issues.
I still haven't looked at The Beatles yet, as it's a massive discography, and the subject of mire intense collector's scrutiny...
...For this reason, I was kind of hoping a Beatles aficionado would take a closer look, and bring their knowledge to bear...
(preferably a moderator who might happen to be a fan of John, Paul, Geroge and Ringo ;)
My own view is that I'd be happy to change this one to International, unless anyone objects, or offers any reason not to (I'll give it a day to allow for opinions first) (?)
